Hatched is a small joint selling breakfast sandwiches and toast, as well as matcha lattes and its variants. Brunch sandwiches and specialty lattes would sum it up well. And they are SO. DARN. GOOD. Yes, they are a bit pricey compared to similar sandwiches you get from Popeyes or Chick-fil-A but quite frankly comparing Hatched to fast food is an unfair comparison. Hatched creates phenomenal artisan sandwiches and latte for a decent price. First, the joint is small. There are no indoors seating. It's even smaller than a typical fast-food chain. You order your food, wait for it to be called, and then you take it out. There are 3~4 small tables right outside but there is practically zero chance you get a table... And you have to also compete will spillovers from the eateries on either side. But none of this matter. When your tater tots are fresh, crunch, and flavorful. When your salads are bountiful, well dressed with fresh ingredients. And when your sandwiches are genuinely made with great chicken, soft buns, and fantastic concoctions of sauce. And your avocado toasts are just brimming with freshness. The food here is quite simply the best. Yes, each sandwich comes in at $15+. But y

On a bright and sunny Tuesday afternoon, my partner and I decided we wanted some breakfast sandwiches. There is nowhere better than hatched for me. We ordered the Holy Shiitake and the Breakfast Burger as well as Garlic Parm Tater Tots. The Holy Shiitake was nice and saucy with really delicate eggs and a lot of flavor. The Breakfast Burger had everything you would want in a breakfast burger and everything was cooked well. One caveat of this place, is that everything is served with arugula, which is a huge plus to me, but may not be everyone’s cup of tea. The Garlic Parm Tater Tots were delicious and they actually layer in the toppings, so it’s all throughout, but I think they could’ve fried a little longer for a little bit more crisp. Overall, I really enjoyed the food we had here and though there isn’t seating inside, there are a ton of benches just outside.

Love love love this place!! Been here 3 or 4 times now and never disappoints. Always consistent. Bay area palo alto needs more good breakfast / lunch spots, this one hits the spot and the drinks are so good. Staff is the sweetest too. Alejandra is the best 🥹 I came with my family to grab quick bite the service was quick and easy. We got the mushroom + avocado sandwich and it’s amazing. The eggs are so fluffy and not overcooked like other breakfast eggs I’ve add. The bun is brilliant - soft but still has a bite to it. Portions are great. Coconut ube latte so good my mom ordered another one to take home. Creamy, sweet and hint of saltiness. Strawberry green tea - so refreshing. Definitely coming back. Recommended to my friends already

great breakfast spot for a quick bite! my ube latte was yummy, just make sure to mix it thoroughly to actually get the ube flavor that settles on the bottom

This place did not disappoint. I was recommended to try the Green Dream with bacon and it was 10/10. Paired it with the classic latte which deserves a shout out of its own. Will be back soon.
